What would be easier

Imagine you have one item to pick up in the Wal Mart Pharmacy. It is not even a prescription, but since you want to use a special spending account you have to have it scanned at a pharmacy register. You take your place in line. The first cashier has a difficult transaction. It is taking forever. That person, and a mom with three daughters is all that is ahead of you, but it is taking forever. So, which is easier for you? Grumble and share the frustration of the man having difficulties. Tense up like he is? or. . . Watch the three girls interact with one another while their mom takes care of the prescriptions that are needed? Smile at them as they tease each other and give to each other while they wait? I tell you what! The energy I felt when watching the kids, the big sister fixing the littlest munchkin's hair, all three of them playing little jokes and teasing, staying right with mom was really good energy. Walking past the man with the troubles felt like a raging fire. He was not yelling, not cursing. Very quietly discussing with someone on the phone about the efforts he was going through to pick up a prescription before the holiday. Still, the frustration felt like a huge wall. It was heavy. Answering my own question: It was much easier to focus on the silliness and smile. I am sure it was better for my blood pressure as well.

You had quite the show today at the pharmacy! I get my prescription from Walmart as well. Now, no longer short staffed, everything went quickly. My pharmacist, wanted to let me know, I've 4 a month free test kits,... I was getting 2. I explained, I got 2 early one month, for Walmart had only 2 that day. I can get 4 on 16th onward, weather permitting. I got a text, ready for pickup. Went back to pharmacy, where I saw a black leather glove on the floor. Looked expensive. I remembered, seeing a young gent in a wheelchair, with black gloves. I got my kits, and saw the wheelchair gent. I asked him, if he lost his glove? He checked, and I told him, I saw it on floor in front of pharmacy. That's mine!! Seconds later we passed, I asked you got your glove? He said hi and thanked me! Where you were I'd have just waited quietly, too.

Aww I’m so glad that mom and kids were there. It sounds like it made the day better for you then if you had to stand in line behind someone else.

Even just reading this discussion still makes me smile. The girls were just basically good kids. I wish I had thought to let the mom know how much I appreciated how they interacted.
