The 'Mist'ery of the missing hill / myLot

The hill outside my balcony this morning, ahem, disappeared. I've enclosed 2 pictures. The top is today and the bottom is from August. This "mist"erious disappearance was quite a sight to behold! Can you help me find the hill? Just kidding!

It often happens here during fall, the clouds cover the hill early in the morning.

We got up very early in Nepal and went to a vantage point to see the sun rise on the mountains. But we couldn't see any mountains at all! Vin had seen them on a previous visit but they wouldn't appear for me.

@pitstop I think Vince was more disappointed than I was. He desperately wanted me to see the sunrise on the mountains.
