Where is my package?

My mom ordered something from Macy's and chose to ship it to my house instead of hers since she went away on vacation. I received an email that the order was shipped on November 17th. I still have not received anything.
I went online many times since then to track the order and the only thing I see is that the shipping label was created. No other updates exist. That is really strange. If the package has not shipped yet I shouldn't have received an email from Macy's telling me it was shipped. And if it was actually shipped then when I go to track the package it should at least tell me that it shipped out.
I couldn't find a way to contact them, however, I finally managed to find a chat link today. Went in there but no one ever came online. I guess no one is working the day after Thanksgiving. I will try to contact them tomorrow (assuming they are available on weekends) and find out what's going on.

I hope that you can contact the company to inform you where is your package since it happens to my relatives from time to time when they place orders from Amazon.

This hasn't happened to me before. I hope I can get to the bottom of this as my mom spent close to $90 on this order.

@RebeccasFarm Nope. And I have a feeling it will never be here. Something is definitely not right. I don't think the package ever shipped as it says UPS never received the package when I go to track the order on Macy's website.
I think they will have to start a new package but I hope they still have those items in stock. I will call them tomorrow. Don't think I will wait until the 29th.

@lovebuglena - It is possible that the items has not even been shipped yet. Some companies have a poor customer service.

Got to a live person but wasn't much help. I was told to wait till Monday and if package still not here than to contact them next day and they will file a report. Shipping details were not updated since the 17th of November. UPS does not say item is on its way so I am not even sure it shipped out.

@LadyDuck The status for November 17th said that the shipping label was created but UPS didn't receive package yet. No other updates exist. I don't think it ever shipped out. But where is it then?

@lovebuglena and today I got notified my package had arrived and I have it. Even though they confused me I am glad it all got solved since it was food for the cats.

Very strange. The tracking on the UPS website should at least say item on its way or something like that. All it says is that a label was created and that was on 11/17. I was also told by a chat person expected delivery says 11/28 but when I check status of my order on Macy's, there it says to expect it by the 19th not the 28th.

@RasmaSandra I wonder why the shipping is different... I don't mind getting a package later than expected so long as I get it. I will have to contact them Monday again. Maybe I will actually call this time now that I have a number to call. I hope they still have what was ordered in stock. My mom doesn't want her money back. She wants those items.

I managed to get to a live person just now. No shipping info was updated since the 17th when it says label was created. I know that without them. I was told estimated delivery date is 28th. If I do not get the package by then to contact them on the 29th and they will file a report or something like that. That is weird. When I check the status of my order on the Macy's website it still says shipment on its way; expected by Nov. 19th. Why wasn't that date updated? And it is not even clear if the item shipped. I was told yes because the shipping label was created but that doesn't mean anything. You can create a label but not physically ship the package.

@LindaOHio Went to track my order and when the Macy's page opens it says Shipper created the shipping label but UPS has not received package yet. And that was on the 17th. I don't know what happened but clearly the package never shipped out.

I hope you get in contact with Macy's. I once ordered a shirt from Belk many years ago and the tracking number kept saying that. I contacted them on facebook and they sent me the shirt I ordered.
