Coffee before or after brushing teeth?

Morning coffee

I've tried coffee before and after brushing teeth and it takes different. It looks like the toothpaste taste gets in the way of the coffee taste and makes it a different experience. I tend to rinse my mouth and then have coffee and then brush my teeth. The coffee tastes better that way, but I'm not sure if that's a safe or healthy often! Me and my coffee craze!!

We have to brush our teeth after drinking coffee, but not immediately after, always wait 15 minutes after everything you drink or eat before brushing your teeth.

I didn't know that, Anna. I suppose there is a good reason to do that?

Any reason for that?

@JudyEv Yes, soon after we eat, or drink acidic beverages (coffee is acidic) our teeth are more fragile, we risk to damage the teeth enamel if we brush immediately after we had food or drinks. We can rinse our mouth, but wait to brush.

I take green tea only once in the morning, that too after brushing my teeth.

I somehow never took a liking for green tea inspite of its health benefit.

Usually, once I've cleaned my teeth I don't have anything to eat or drink after wards. If I do have just a cup of coffee then I might just rinse my mouth out rather than using toothpaste again.

It's best to brush after you have anything to eat or drink...but wait 1/2 hour after drinking anything acidic to brush your teeth.

That's what Anna said too in this discussion.

I know this is kinda weird...but I brush my teeth after having my breakfast. Read it in a doctor's note

I'm not surprised. I can see some benefit in that.
