Ace, our mini-Schnauzer, and Sophie, our Corgi, share a brief moment of peaceful time together in my office this afternoon while I was working to finish my NaNoWriMo project for this year. I have written the requisite 50,000 words, however, the story wasn't complete. I am now hoping to write the conclusion before November 30. That is my stretch goal. So far, I'm up to 53,364 words. There are at least 3 chapters yet to be written. Can I finish before the last hour of the last day of the month? Time will tell.

Yes, you will promptly finish this project before the deadline of November 30th:) Ace and Sophie are simply sawing some logs, for your fireplace:)

The dogs didn't stay peaceful for long. Not three minutes passed before they were playing and romping around the room.

Do I remember well that you also have a cat called Max?

I had an indoor cat named Joe when I first joined myLot, I think. The only cats we have now are two freeloaders who live on our front porch, Stripes and GG.

@DWDavis I have a cat now, he was abandoned by a family who moved to an apartment and I adopted him. He does not come inside often, I bought a house and placed under our porch, he likes to stay there, it is warm and protected. This is my cat Gevi.

If you have gone that far the rest is easy. Good Luck. Do these dogs otherwise fight with each other?

Sophie can get very possessive of her food at mealtime. Otherwise, they ignore each other or play together. We monitor their play carefully. Ace is nearly 13. Sophie is a year and a half. She also outweighs him be about 10 pounds.

@DWDavis When pets get along it is such a relief for the owners. Hope Sophie stops bossing around (lol) We only have Peppie now our pet cat. He is a joy around but he does not like his son the kitten that visits us just so that he gets to eat something. He must be owned by someone around here. We hear a shriek and that means Peppie has chased him away (lol)

A very cute puppers getting along photo DW. How come you have to write so many words? Who is counting them?

NaNoWriMo is an annual writing challenge I take part in every November and the goal is to write 50,000 original words for a new novel in 30 days.

This year's NaNoWriMo project will eventually become a book in my new BG of Buzby Beach series I wrote the first book in the series last November for the challenge. Both are still quite a ways from being published. I have another project I will go back to working on after November 30. That one will be my next book.

Good luck with this. Sophie is much bigger than Ace. Corgis are always bigger than I imagine them to be.

She is bigger than I thought she'd be. Sophie is a wonderful dog, though, as long as Ace doesn't get near her food or try to take her toys.
