Another celebrity hoax

I got a notification from my FB cooking group telling me that someone wanted to post something and it was awaiting my approval. I went to see what it was and it was some guy posting a link to something that said Bruce Willis died. I did not click on the link and rejected the post. I did not think it was true. Besides, it had nothing to do with cooking so I wouldn't have approved it, even if it was true.
I went ahead and did a search on Google just to confirm that he did not die and was right. Turns out it was a Facebook hoax. Why would someone do something like this? Do they have nothing better to do with their time than spread things like that?

@lovebuglena They get to see in print the rumor that they started. It's a kick for them, I think.
