Took the Breakfast Club to the bathroom

I’ve had this duty for a couple of weeks and haven’t taken them to the bathroom. I know they go 4th period before they get lunch. They were swearing up and down that get to go 6th too. I didn’t believe them so I called the office. Sure enough they were right so off we went. The mistake I made was not counting how many students I had so I wasn’t sure if there were any stragglers left in the bathroom. Lesson learned. When we got back in here 2 of the students had swapped seats. One of them refused to move back. They started talking to each other. One kid started drawing on his desk with a dry erase marker. Their little field trip perked them up and it took me several minutes to calm them back down. Oh well. I’m lucky that I haven’t had any bad days in here. . . yet.

What's the age group you are dealing with?? Well, getting a hyper class calm down is a tricky job.

This honestly sounds like you’re babysitting first graders. You have to escort them to the bathroom????

We are seeing some interesting post Thanksgiving behaviors at our school, and they are elementary.

Undisciplined kids who couldn't care less about learning. I admire your stamina and willingness, to bear with these children, regardless of their bad attitudes. You are upbeat and keep a handle on them, that's remarkable!

KIds. I was such a good kid when I was in school because I was afraid of my parents and afraid of my teachers! I never skipped class or defaced school property. I wish kids could be like that today.
