Hello Mylotters it's been quite a while since I came in to see what's going on with you. And what a couple of turbulent years we have been through right? Covid, the economy crashing, people we love and care about having a hard time, and not able to be with them. Floods, volcanic eruptions conflicts, yes it really has been a turbulent few years. Well, the covid virus although not completely eradicated does seem to not be as virillant as it was over the last few years ,but we still need to take care of those around us and protect them as best as we can, and also to take good care of ourselves. During the covid virus the country was put on lock down(as were many other countries at that time). and a lot of people here, were put on furlough, but after the lock down their jobs did not come back,so they were looking for work again so sad . But there are new opportunities coming along every day. So that is a good thing. I am a key worker so I worked throughout and continue to work in the caring sector. So many people here worked so hard through the last couple of years smiling through giving care and kindness to those they were caring for.(even though there may have been sadness in their own families because of the covid virus) All those people who stayed strong through this time deserve to be applauded . It wasn't just those in the caring fields there were the lorry drivers who kept the supermarkets shelves filled, it was the shop workers, the bus and train drivers, the teachers and school staff, the medical workers, and carers the police, the fire crews, the ambulance crews the hospital domestic and porters who kept cheerful as they carried on carrying on..Thanks to all of these people and many more who I haven't mentioned Thank you wherever you are in this great big beautiful world.. There is still a lot of sad things going on in the world but some things are getting better, I notice there are more people out and about here now doing shopping, going to the theatre ,eating out again, just doing things that we had to put on hold for a couple of years it's good to see these every day things returning to normal here, for a while the streets here were empty which was quite unsettling, but we just grit our teeth and carry on and as I say things are slowly getting back to the way it was before covid.. I am now the youngish (smiles)grandmother of two fabulous grand children. As I said I continued working through out the last couple of years and still doing the same care job.Like a lot of families there has been sadness, but also happy events I am an aunty to twins they , along with my grand children are are bringing great joy to our family. I have to admit I was feeling a little sad this morning after someone had been rather rude to me yesterday, but I am now counting my many blessings, and it has helped me by being able to send this message to you great people at my lot.Writing this has truly made me realise how lucky I am. Anyways that's enough about me how are you all doing mylotters? How have things been in your parts of the world?Would love to hear from you wishing you all the bestx

Hello and welcome back to myLot. We had two difficult years and I fear we are not yet out of the problems, but the best is to keep positive and go on. Things seemed to improve, but the Russia/Ukraine war started and we are back to difficult times here in Europe.

That's true things are still unsettled in Europe, the war in Ukraine, the unsettled state of economies around the world but as you say it is best to try and keep positive. Thank you for your comment.
