And, Chilly has proven he's to smart for me. He darted out into the living room on me, but has settled himself on the couch. George and I are aware he's out so we can prevent another mishap like the last time. Let him enjoy the bright sunlight and being out with us. So, I'm not too worried. We're going out and he'll have the place to himself while we're gone.

I think maybe you should get a GPS collar for him, in case he really does escape sometime. He will probably enjoy some "me time" while you are gone.

George was thinking about an electric fence. Those really don't work very well. I was thinking about looking into those tags with QR codes so we can be contacted. But, at least he's got a tag with our vet's address and phone number on it.

@kaylachan I thought about the electric fence when I had a cat here that was bound and determined to get out. I asked the guy who installed mine about it, (used it when I had a dog) he said they don't work well with cats, because they are problem solvers and will jump right over it. IF he has a GPS collar you can track his whereabouts with no guesswork. Since I have been remembering to always lock the front door, Nico has not been trying to get out and about.

Hubby and I weren't apart today. We will be for the next two days. The days he works. His last days as a working man. He's ready to retire.
