Forming groups

At every party that I host I add a few party games and for that I need to have groups. Each time I have had different concepts and at one such party I got some artificial roses in different colours. Each guest was given a rose and they had to form groups by the colour of the rose. It was fun seeing them call out and to those that were able to form their group first were given prizes. These groups later took part in many games that were lined up for the day. This time I am having smiley badges. I had them once before as well. There are six types and so there will be six groups formed. Hoping they will identify each other Any party game you can suggest?

I am sure the guests will love the smiley badges. I think that you need party games for kid, a few that comes to my mind: "spoon and egg" - kids race to the finish line holding an egg on a spoon in their hands. Who finish first without a broken egg wins. "freeze dance" - kids dance, when the music stops they must stop moving "back up" - Children sit back to back in pairs and try to stand up together without using their hands. "musical chairs" - Children parade around a group of chairs as music plays. When the music stops they must sit.

That's a good way to get people mingling and into a party mood.
