Saturday Morning Brief

Good morning. It's snowing.
I woke at 2 and looked outside to see two things, a white driveway and the plow hadn't been here yet. I woke at 3:30 and saw a cleared driveway. The plow usually comes through at 3 AM.
The weatherman said it will snow for the next couple of hours and then be done for a few days. Good thing because I'm going to the Garden of Lights show at the Botanical Gardens tonight with my son and his girlfriend. I'm excited to go. His girlfriend and I went last year. They've been talking about it on the news. They also said this weekend would be the best time to go as temperatures will plummet with a Siberian cold front coming through in the next couple of days. My camera is charged and in my purse so I don't forget it.
Other than that, I'll do some prelim work on Destination Love before I get to the next phase of getting the manuscript ready to publish. I'll be working to publish Where Eagles Soar first after the first of the year.
I'll also be here seeing what you're doing in your world today.
That's my exciting day. How is your day shaping up? Thanks for reading. The image belongs to me.

It is currently 0°. Something came down last night, maybe a few scalene triangles (they're back in Yahoo's forecast) but didn't accumulate on the ground, just on the cars across the road. I'm staying in my flannel nighty and wool socks, so not going anywhere.

I love your photo of the snow. Oh how I would love to be there right now. I'm glad you enjoy the snow so much, because most people don't seem to like or enjoy it.
We had our first frigid cold snap of the season arrive last night. And then I guess a second blast is coming midweek, as they are predicting temperatures will plummet into the 20's on Christmas. I even saw last night that one weather forecaster said some computer models are trending on the possibility of snow in Florida for Christmas. He said to take that information with a grain of salt, as it's hard to pinpoint predictions 5-7 days out and the data is constantly changing. But how cool would that be to have snow in Florida on Christmas? It's happened once in my life, I think it was in 2012, and we had snow flurries on Christmas Day for about 5 minutes. lol

@just4him The way it’s starting to shape up, a lot of places in the country may have a white Christmas. As it stands now, we have a 9% chance.

@moffittjc Even I would take a 9% chance. Though we are definite for a white Christmas.

Enjoy your Garden of Lights show tonight. Even though it sounds like it's going to be cold I bet it will be beautiful

Thank you. I was dressed in layers. It wasn't too bad. Tomorrow temps plummet with the Siberian front coming our way over the next several days.
The show was great! I got lots of pictures. I'm going to need to resize them. I'm surprised the one I posted on the Thankful post didn't need resizing.

My week is quite bad. I am having a little flu due to the changes of weather at the end of the year. But worst, my brother infected with Covid, he is down with fever and muscle pain, can't even sleep. Today, mom also infected, and I hope both of them will be recover soon. Dad left negative, and I hope he stays negative because will have no one to buy groceries and medicine for them as they can't go out from the house. If not, I will go home from campus and stay in the hotel near my house, while buying them groceries.
