Whole Day Raining

I barely saw Mr. Sunshine today. It started gloomy this morning when I was about to go to work. It was already noon when I realized that rain started pouring. I was not able to notice it because I was inside my office the whole time.
When rain starts to pour, it’s quite difficult to get a ride home. Of course, traffic is a mess. I asked the guard on duty to call me a taxi at 3 in the afternoon. It was almost 4:00 o’ clock when I got it.
Christmas season also adds traffic everywhere but it’s a good thing that I was able to go home safe and dry.

I'm glad you made it home safely, even if it wasn't as quickly as you wanted.
Even though we haven't had much precipitation lately, we haven't have very much sun, either. The skies here have been mostly cloudy and everything looks gloomy all the time. I'm ready for some sunshine.

in the winter I hate the rains. It makes roads muddy and the dresses get dirty

That is correct and one thing more when it continues, it brings flood to low-level areas

We have had rains in December which is unusual and for that reason I have not put up the Christmas lights in the garden
