24 December - What I'm Thankful for Today

It's been a good day.
I'm thankful for getting up early this morning, 1:30. Earlier than usual, but I'm glad I was up that early. I got a lot accomplished this morning.
I'm thankful for the Christmas message I wrote this morning for our church group. I'll send it out to my church group since we aren't meeting for church. I needed two e-mail addresses from our group and just got the second one.
I'm thankful for getting my groceries delivered via Instacart this morning. I only forgot a couple of items. It's okay, I can still make dinner happen with ease. I just won't have the sweet potato pie the way I usually make it. No marshmallows. I also won't have the no-bake pumpkin pie. No cream cheese. I have everything else. Dinner will be turkey, stuffing, green bean casserole, mashed potatoes, and homemade cranberry sauce.
I'm thankful for my neighbor. I borrowed a cookie sheet to her and she gave me a few homemade cookies in return. So, I have dessert.
I'm thankful I got the garbage down when I said I would in the last post. It wasn't as cold as I expected in the underground garage. I guarantee it was a lot colder outside. I still put a hoodie on to take it down.
I'm thankful for good Christmas classic movies. I watched the animated classics and I'm getting ready to watch White Christmas. I'll be going to bed when it's over. I don't know if I'm going to watch it via Netflix or my own DVD.
Okay, snow totals. I just watched the weather. We got 7 inches of snow. The wind chill advisory is still in effect until noon tomorrow. We could still see -30 tomorrow. We got as low as -39 with 41 mph winds today. It sounded like it too.
Yes, I'm one happy camper with all that snow.

Thankful that we have started a warming trend here. Slowly but started. Thankful for my heated throw today.

I'm glad it's warming up for you. So glad you have the heated throw. I hope you had a wonderful Christmas with your family.
Believe me, I am. I'm not looking forward to the warmer temperatures coming this week. It will melt my wonderful snow.

In the month of December so far, we have gotten fourteen inches of snow. That a lot. I bet we don't get half that normally in the entire winter. Not for years.

I'm glad you have so much to be thankful for!
I'm thankful I could end isolation and pick up last minute stocking stuffers.
But I'm also thankful for not going back out because it's cold.
I'm thankful our internet is back, but I'm also thankful that's all we lost.
My presents are wrapped and stocking stuffers (treat bags) are finished.
And I'm thankful to be with my loved ones on Christmas Eve/Christmas.

Thank you. I had to think about what surgery you were talking about. I expect my knees. I have almost full feeling back in my knees. Still a little bit numb. They're doing very well.
