Around 5am of December 25, 2022. My neighbor had a panic and almost all of the neighbors including us had a panic too. The reason: her nephew was lost under their custody. They left their nephew sleeping around 4am in order to go to the early Christmas market nearby. According to them, all of their house lights were on. Then, they came back with lights off. Their nephew was gone. They tried to look around up to the nearby neighbor and the 6-year old boy still out of sight. They suspected also the unknown white vehicle parking nearby and been there the whole night and been gone around 5am also before they arrive. We saw also the white van and been gone during that time. I walk around the area also to look for that boy and some of the male neighbors used their motorcycle to look somewhere else any suspected vehicle that might kidnapped the boy. It took us for more than an hour until his mother called our neighbor who's in custody of the boy. Funny but not so funny side: the mother already took her son around 4:30am without any of us noticing she did it. It's a prank. We're in all of a panic that his mother picked him up without informing the one in custody. The mother kidnapped her son intentionally from her sister.

@marlina Yes. Based on what I've found out. The original plan according to our neighbor, the boy will be picked up by the mother at 8am. And the mother changes plan to pick the boy at 4:30am without anyone knowing that.

That was rude of the mother to take the child without telling anyone.

@jstory07 Yes that's too rude. I even asked the 24 hour store nearby if they see a 6-year old boy without any adult accompanying him.

If the boy had been in my custody, I would never babysit him again if the mother pulls pranks like that. That wasn't funny!

@luisga814 Pretty and I don't babysit any more. None of our relatives or friends have kids young enough to need a babysitter.

@DaddyEvil It's good to babysit, however, pranking the one who babysit is not good.

They were wrong to leave the child alone, but just as bad, if not worse, for the mother to kidnap the child. Imagine if the police were involved, and the time that would have been wasted on nothing more than a prank. I do hope that she never does that again, that poor child will never know how to trust again.

That was a terrible mistake of the mother. She should have left a note. She's so cruel. She didn't think about the effects of her wrong doing. She should be sued my neighbors.

@cacay1 Yes. He should put a note about that. And the worst thing, my neighbor called the mother just to inform that boy was missing. And no response. And when the mother and the boy got home, she even asked, the reason of calling. Of course still in panic, the one who's in panic said that her nephew is missing. And the mother said "my son is already with me, I picked it a while ago."

Sorry, but to me the mother taking the boy without informing anyone is kidnapping. Especially if the child is in the custody of the neighbor (Aunt). Proper arrangements should have been made for the mother to pick up the child and that the Aunt approved the arrangements. She's darned lucky that no one called the police about the missing child. I would have chewed out the mother for a fair thee well. What she did goes beyond a prank and into the absolute inconsiderate.

@BearArtistLady Actually, one of the neighbors called a police already and while the police is on the way for the investigation, the mother called her sister to inform about picking her child. The neighbor who called the police calls again informing is a false alarm.
