I got up as usual. Never heard any crackers in the night - probably they were none. All is calm around here. Being a Sunday it will be a rest day for me as there will be no workers around. Feels good that way
There is enough food in the fridge and that means no cooking today. For the first time in days I will be doing nothing but just whiling away my time.
No way to start the New Year you might say but as I have said it is just another day as far as I am concerned.
How special has the New Year's day been to you?

So far it is New Year's Eve as the sun has set as of now. Sharing good news stories and doing surveys.

We have a little less than 6 hours to go before it becomes 2023. Tonight we will be eating Japanese soba - buckwheat noodle soup - as traditionally they say it cleanses you of the bad stuff from the year. This year was rough indeed. Well, I don't know what tomorrow will bring . . . but most likely I will sleep through the transition and will wake up to 2023. If anything, it will be a new day . . . special in that we get to live another day
