New Hampshire State Trooper saves a dog that was on the edge of a bridge

New Hampshire State Trooper Neil Chapdelaine who had the assistance of a local dog trainer were called from a concerned citizen that a stray hound dog was seen on the edge of a bridge in Shelburne on New Years Day.
The trooper and the local animal trainer were able to get the stray hound dog safely away from falling into the icy river of the Androscoggin River.
Since the stray dog did not have an identification tag on his collar, the stray dog was taken to the Woodlands Veterinary Clinic in Lancaster.
Hopefully someone will pick up the dog at the clinic in Lancaster. In case no one claims the stray dog belongs to them, the dog will be transferred to the Riverside Animal Rescue in Lunenburg Vermont.

I believe that the dog in the picture is the dog that was saved by the police officer. I am sure that the dog will be well fed at the animal shelter and likely be placed up for adoption and find a loving home soon.

I guess the stray dog got curious walking on a bridge since he was most likely chased by a stranger or the dog was chasing a cat in the area.

@Deepizzaguy I was thinking some nutcase put him up there on the bridge thinking he would fall off..the dog must have been terrified poor thing.

I am in agreement with you that the police officer and the animal trainer did do their work of saving a stray animal from being injured or even dying at the bridge.
