Storms Are Approaching Early

United States
January 3, 2023 6:21am CST
Watching the weather, I just learned that we have the threat of storms as early as 7:00 am this morning. Now that is early..Already after 6 now..I really needed to go to the bank, and pick up a few grocery items. Later, I was going to have a meeting with the client, and cartaker, to see if we can reason with her so we all may make it easier for all of us. Caretaker said she cried most of day, I think she feels sorry for herself. But looks like the weather will prevent this. Have s good day.

We have a 70 to 100% chance of rain here today, so thank goodness I already have some food, but I was going to walk to the store for a bit more. I hope your client comes to some understanding with you and the other caregivers soon.

I hope so, I don't want to see her go to a nursing home.

@popciclecold I know what you mean. It is sad when that happens. Since I live in a senior complex, I see that happen all the time.

The storms blew themselves out here around 10 pm last night. Lots of hail and some heavy rain. Lightning and thunder... I think, before I agreed to helping that client, I'd explain that I'm not a maid. If she knocks things over and spills stuff, it's going to stay that way. Good luck for her furniture and carpets.

@DaddyEvil I only help with this one. She called me Saturday. I and the caregiver was off. She was in a mess. I went down and helped her. She could not open Gatorade or milk. I made her bed, made sure she ate. Sunday I had to work. She asked if I wanted to watch Yellowstone and she watched it with me. Guess cause I went to help her, and didn't have to.

@popciclecold The storms did come up on us fast. With any other client, would you have to work constantly or would you be allowed to sit and watch television and read?

I hate the idea of a “nursing home.” There’s just no help there at all. It pained me so much to see my dear aunt of blessed memory having to be confined to one as her Alzheimer’s worsened. I don’t think she got out of be the last two years of her life.
