It Is Always a Bit Spooky

We are all family, of course. We all come from the same genes, granted a bit mixed. But sometimes when we look at old and new photos of people that were and people that are...
Some of the resemblances are just spooky.
And I don't know why I say that because we ARE family and come from the same gene pool.
Still, do you ever find yourself seeing people from your own family past in people today?
On the left is my dad's dad. On the right is my nephew Ian. I think they have an uncanny resemblance. Do you see it too?
To me, he could be his great-grandfather.

Claudia resembles me (when I was young) and Tania and her eldest son Daniel resemble my late husband a lot. Different skin color but the same eyes, the same mouth.

@porwest And your grandfather was very handsome. Do you resemble him in any way?

@RebeccasFarm lol. Having a little bit of modesty in life makes life much less serious and fun.

They do look alike. Now that I'm older, I'm the spittin' image of my mother unfortunately.

That's natural for any family member may take a resemblance or similarities with the past family member for they're family.

Yep, you got that right. They have the same facial features, I have had my moments but I think the strangest and spookiest if that there have been times when I have suddenly spotted a person say, at one time a lady I did not know but she looked just like my mom. Now that is really odd.

My daughter is a splitting image of my aunt (my dad's sister) when she was in her 20s. I mean an exact copy. If I were to put my 20 year old aunt's photo next to my 20 year old daughter's photo, it would be hard to tell them apart. I told my daughter that's a great thing, because my aunt is in her 70s now and is still as gorgeous as ever.

It makes me marvel at life. And also the qualities that manifest both physically and in behavior or personality is just awe-inspiring.

..reminded me of that movie Kalifornia..when Brat Pitt said yep looks like dog sh*t
