Any Ideas?

I have a legal question. It is not like I need a legal representative to go to court or anything like that. I just want a question answered. I have tried several places I found online. They either don't have any lawyers in Idaho or they want money. Whatever happened to the time when you could look in the yellow pages and there were lawyers who you could call and talk to for 10-15 minutes at no charge? I am going to check the yellow pages tomorrow. I certainly don't feel that I should have to pay a retainer. Any ideas on how I can find a nice lawyer to answer one question? Or, do you think I just need to do some cold calling?

Call the bar association and get referrals. I want to say it's still $35 for a 30-minute consult with up to four lawyers. At least it is in Oregon. You can call and find out for sure.

@noni1959 ..........Good for you! I did my own guardianship paperwork. The judge even told me how nice a job I did on them.

@celticeagle I did this service when I was trying to figure out selling my mini house. It's not deeded and titled. You don't do that for my type of house. I got all the information I needed to make a contract and if I need them to finish it, I can. One of my daughters used one for a dog situation a few years ago and it helped her win the case just with the info given. Worth the money without paying a lot.

I suppose I would look on the internet for lawyers near me and ask if they give free advice. I would think some lawyers give free advice.

Check the law section in your local library or college? Ask your question in a search engine?

@BarBaraPrz ..........I tried them. They asked me a couple of questions, connected me to an auto recording, and then cut me off. Maybe they were closed and I will try them again.

Perhaps you could call the local attorney general's office? I mean, they are paid by taxpayers. Maybe they can help you?

Call a friend. He may refer you to a good lawyer whom he's acquainted with.
