Belly fat and green tea

A lot is being advertised about green tea successfully helping to reduce belly fat Why only belly fat is not quite understood. I have not had green tea but would certainly like to do something to get rid of my belly fat. Just drinking green tea for this to happen seems a bit far fetched to me. Has anyone here tried green tea and have succeeded in getting rid of their belly fat? Or is there any other way that can help? Only green tea won't help much. Diet and exercise should be much more effective.

I don't believe this would work. As Eva says, diet and exercise are what works.

Precisely. But someone will fall for it. And someone will make "dirty" money.

I do not like tea but I have heard that it does work. It is good for your health.

Good for your heath in that it's mostly water. But I doubt it has any effect on belly fat.

My sister in law used to drink green tea hoping to lose belly fat, it never worked. I walk a lot and I count my calories.

@TheHorse In fact in Italy they sold the green tea (pretty high price) pretending it was the "miracle cure" for the belly fat. Reducing sugar and eating more proteins help, but exercising is what helps more.

Someone naughty is hiring someone naughty to put this stuff out there and sell a bit of extra green tea.

I drink green tea because it is healthy. But I still have a belly. Exercise and watching calories are what works

And yet they have the nerve to say it works . I wonder why health experts do not take this up.

I heard drinking green tea has lots of benefits. So I think it is fine to have a try. Even if it is not helpful to get rid of the belly fat, it can give us other benefits anyway. Green tea is a kind of healthy drink.

Green tea soothes my tummy, but I doubt it has anything to do with belly fat. I have found that when I eat sensibly, do curls with my weights, and either cycle or swim a lot, my belly fat is reduced.

I like green tea, I don't have belly fat but I never had. Green tea has many benefits to our health.

Another marketing gimmick made with a false promise. They should explain how green tea alone can reduce belly fat to back their statements but I am sure that none could give a convincing answer.

When they so openly dare to say it what is confusing is why no authority has stopped them.
