Feeling Better and On the Mend (with mini job update)

Mylotter friends, it's been a long two weeks since I've gotten sick with the dreaded crud. I'm now feeling better and napping less, though I do have a lingering cough from a head cold. This weekend, I'm going to do some catch up on posting and notifications and post two new zoo photos to share with you all. I'm also going to post my belated December 2022 recipe report card tomorrow or on Sunday, and then do my belated mid-January 2023 favorite recipe list also on Sunday. I didn't get a chance to do a recipe on Monday due to the fatigue factor. So I hope to kickstart it this weekend. As for Talbot's, it's still up in the air. On Monday, I nudged them to follow-up on the email from two weeks ago. I've heard back from the store manager. They still want me to come down to do the paperwork with Danielle and be a part of the team. They apologize for the delay in response, due to the post-holiday seasonal rush. But still there's no onboarding date set for January. Three days later with no response, I've emailed Danielle again. She said it was okay to check in with them and ask what date would work best for them. If I didn't hear back by the end of today, we would've resumed the job search and do my belated virtual job interview with Goodwill. Well, today I received an email and a phone call from the store manager. She had a question to ask about Danielle's job coaching and being on the payroll. I explained she would be there for assistance as they would train me since they were a team. She would be there for support and to check in with them on how I was doing and fairing in the stocking associate position. She also mentioned that since she's stepping back from being store manager and being a sales manager, they're going to wait until the new store manager (one of the three employees that are named Lisa) to settle. And still no onboarding date for January is set. She said she would call me when everything's set to come in to handle the paperwork. It would be most likely a week from tomorrow or early February at the latest and at this rate. I've called Danielle to let her know what they said on the phone. She said she would talk to the store manager and get back to me with what she found out from her phone call. No word this afternoon via phone, or when I emailed her what our job search plans would be for next week--resume job hunt or keep waiting? So everything's in flux and in limbo with a lot more waiting going on. That's about it on my end. I'll check back in tomorrow afternoon. Stay safe and warm and healthy.
