Sad Chopper

Chopper seems so sad the past few weeks since the arrival of our new fur baby, Sushi. I am worried that it really makes him feel bad because Sushi is getting more attention than him lately. We try to give equal attention but since Sushi is the youngest and the littlest fellow in the house, she stays in our bedroom most of the time.
Chopper always pees in our bedroom the past few days which he has not done before. I try to have more patience because I understand how he feels. I hope that he soon realized that he is still loved and cared for. My kids are worried about him as well but I know sooner or later he would come to realize and accept that Sushi is now a part of our family.

You need to talk to him. I did that with my dog when he did that in my bedroom when I visited another family with a dog. After talking to him, he never did it again. He knew I would never bring another dog into the house. He was my one and only. You need to let him know you love him and that your affection for him will never change even with the new dog in the house.

Poor Chopper. He is obviously unhappy about the new status quo. I guess you are paying as much attention to him as you can. He no doubt feels left out at the moment.
