2023 Health Journey - Day 16

Hey everyone, how are you all doing? I hope well. I am finally starting to see the numbers drop (not on the scale, but my blood sugars). Weigh in - lost 0.4 Blood sugars - Fasting - 88 Meal 1 - 98 Snack -103 Meal 2 - 104 So my numbers stayed pretty good most of the day. Okay, guess you could say they were good all day. What did I eat? Meal 1 - 1.5 servings deli chicken and a cheese stick Snack - Keto protein bar (chocolate mousse pie flavor) Meal 2 - 2 hamburger patties, slice of cheese, mayo, sugar free ketchup 7 tater tots - yes I counted them. Macros for the day - Calories - 1,163 Protein -82 Fat -76 Total carbs - 28 Net carbs - 20 Another pretty high protein day. It helped that I had 2 hamburger patties. We'll see what the scale says tomorrow. What do you think of the day? Will the scale finally move? Hopefully I will work out, but we'll see...

@just4him Well it is still about what it was the first of January. But I know this Monday I was higher than the beginning of January.

Thank you, I was struggling the first few weeks of January when this is what I was expecting. Who knew I just needed insulin

@DianneN It's only one shot a day, and doesn't hurt. Now I just need to work on the weight loss.

I suppose so lol. My sugar usually spikes after so I haven't wanted to get started.

@LindaOHio 65 is actually low.... but my machine might have been wrong. Today it said 53, but I did not feel low. Checked with a finger prick, was 105

That's what I was hoping for the last few weeks when I started. That is what I am used to happening when I go low carb. I even had some bread today and my sugar only went up to 96

Good for you that you are really trying so hard, Courtney. I know when I started this weight loss journey I was so determined, and it often seemed that scale just wouldn't move for days and days. I learned a lot of patience, it's not easy. Hang in there.
