A police officer doing a welfare check saves the life on an elderly female

A 77 year old woman who lives in Lake Villa Illinois is lucky to be alive after Lake Villa police officer named Katie Gordon was concerned that the 77 year old woman whose name was not released to the public did not answer her telephone calls on Thursday. Katie who is part of the Lake County Sheriff's Office program called R U O K which is a program where police officers stay in contact with senior citizens who live by themselves suspected the 77 year old woman might in trouble. Katie asked her fellow deputies Trish List and Jessica Fill went to the home of the elderly woman by using a key that the police possess to enter her home legally and they found the elderly woman on the floor is a dazed state since she fell down on the floor about 18 to 24 hours ago. One of the two deputies called 911 to report the incident and send an ambulance to take the senior citizen to the hospital where she is expected to make a full recovery thanks to the actions of the police officers who are assisting seniors who live by themselves at home.
