Hockey World Cup 2023: India win 4-2 vs Wales, but challenges remain !

India won 4-2 vs Wales after a few tense moments when the scoreline was leveled 2-2.
Both India and England drew level at points in the Group D but England, courtesy their 4-0 win vs Spain directly move to the Quarter Finals.
India play a crossover match vs New Zealand to qualify for the next round i.e the Round of 8 or the Quarter Finals.
Let us hope for the best!

It was a disappointing loss for India. New Zealand were a much lower ranked team but India lost a very close match.

India has a very bad record in hockey for the past 10 to 12 years vs Australia.
They have probably won just 2 or 3 matches and probably lost 12 to 13.
Some by big margins.
Interestingly, the current Indian coach is an Australian and some of the previous ones were also Australians like Ric Charlesworth but nobody has a clue why it happens.
Our record against Germany, Netherlands etc is still slightly better but can be even better.
