Telling on myself now, but I remember watching Laugh-In. That show broke boundaries and touched on subjects on network TV no one would dare put on these days. The celebrity salute to Laugh-In called Still Laugh-In aired in 2019. It is amazing how many legendary, award-winning stars appeared on the original show. Orson Welles, Frank Sinatra, and a very young Robin Williams are among the many. The original Laugh-In produced some of the most incredible comedians who went on to become household names like Lily Tomlin, Ruth Buzy, Goldie Hawn, Artie Johnson, JoAnn Worley, Dan Rowan, Dick Martin, and so many others. Had there been no Laugh-In, we might never have had Saturday Night Live. What, if anything, did you like about Laugh-In?

It wasn't just cutting edge; the show went over the edge and challenged every societal norm of the time. Ironically, the political corruption, racism, and oppression of women the show spoke out against are still with us today.

I still see a rerun occasionally. They are so funny and you're right, we don't see shows like Laugh In now.

It is disturbingly ironic that many of the societal ills Laugh-In pointed out with their humor still infect the US today.

I haven't watched that particular show, but I did watch Saturday Night Live when my favorite pop band, BTS, guested on the show.

I was stunned watching some of the clips from the old show and realizing the meaning behind some of the jokes. They were pretty daring in the way they took on politicians and racism.

I don't know this show but I remember seeing documentaries about some of our early comedy shows. A lot were recorded live. It was so different back then.

I thought Lily Tomlin as Edith Ann and Ernestine was hysterical. Not sure why, but she always made me laugh, which was the point of watching the show. I loved it. I really, really loved the old Saturday Night Live shows, the Coneheads, many other skits were so funny, the shark, Wayne's World, Two Wild and Crazy Guys....I just thought they were all so fun to watch. Gilda was a true favorite of mine.

I loved that show, there were so many I liked on that show. I liked Henry Gibson, Tyrone the dirty old man, and Ruth Busby. I just loved the whole show. It was a HOOT.
