Hey everyone, how are you all doing? The first month of 2023 is getting close to the end. One week left to go. How will it go? Weigh in - 216.8 Yes, I did go back up. That is 3.2 above where I started at the beginning of the month. Blood sugars - Fasting - 164 Meal 1 - 111 Meal 2 - 104 Meal 3 - 134 I guess something affected me in meal 3. Will share when I get to that part. Meal 1 - 3 slices of bacon 2 slices turkey bacon 1 string cheese stick Meal 2 - 1/4 pound beef frank with mayo and sugar free ketchup Meal 3 - pizza "wrap" I used a new product for this which is probably what affected me. I tried Joseph's lavish bread wraps - it's 6 net carbs for half a wrap I had pepperoni, pizza sauce, cheese, bacon bits on the wrap. So, I stayed pretty low carb today. Calories were under a bit, as was protein. I need to add some leaner proteins in. Macros -- Calories - 1,072 Protein- 56 Fat - 86 Carbs - 18 Net carbs - 15 No, I did not get a work out in today. I really need to find some energy, or just do it anyway. Tomorrow I will try to: Not eat till noon Workout Eat more foods with more protein than fat (tuna, salmon, chicken etc) Get at least 1,200 calories Try to get 10,000 steps Should I add goals to the end of these discussions?

Doesn't mean I will stick to them. I probably won't get the workout part in again, stressful morning so went back to sleep for too long

do you have to go having a blood test frequently? Sounds tough! (I was a bit worried of putting on a lot of weight this Christmas and New Year break. Thank God, I didn't snack a lot this time.)

@MommyOfEli2013 Cool, thought you had to go to some clinics to have the blood tests

From a doctors office, or just the home testing? I have a sensor I wear that I can check anytime I want Well that's good you didn't do too bad then during that time...

Thanks for sharing your journey. I'm taking my hubby to the pool tomorrow when I go for exercising. I sure it works out.

@MommyOfEli2013 This is what I do when I get up in the morning: I tell myself that I am going to the pool. I tell my little kid me that I am going to that pool. Like it or lump it. I always apprreciate it after I am home and know that my muscles ache cause they are getting stronger. Bit by bit my legs are stronger and I am not so easily able to fall.

@sallypup Well that is a good way to stick with it, and keep going. It does feel better after usually...but it is the going or doing it that is a pain

Yesterday I wanted to exercise, but I had a headache most of the day. I am planning on doing either kickboxing or zumba tomorrow.

Kickboxing or zumba both sound like good workouts. I need to do something myself but haven't been motivated to do so

It's going ok. Sometimes ups and downs. Lots of things happens this year good and bad. The 10k steps is where I begin. It'll help toning your body and also lose those calories. I say go for it. To help you begin you can get apps to motivate you. Also get a fitness tracker. I use Samsung Health I get everything there from sleep to my calories, how much water I drank and also race with friends. Super motivates me not to gave up. That's be nice to add your goal if you're comfortable of course.

Sounds like life... I used to try to get 10k steps. Now I rather sleep. Slept in again so won't make all my goals. Apps won't motivate me lol. I do have a fitness tracker already

@MommyOfEli2013 Maybe fitness friends might help motivate. Having a fitness tracker is awesome. I just got mine and I must say I love it. Help me keeping track of everything and motivates me.

Yes but if you don't make the goal don't get down on yourself.
