Yesterday was health day at work. My staff brought her blood sugar kit and we had our blood tests in the morning before taking our lunch. Mine was 118, but still I am controlling my soda cravings. I eat pies and cakes but mostly I have boiled peanuts or banana for snacks. In the afternoon our health workers checked on us if we want to have the flu vaccine. It's a good chance to avail it free. Flu vaccine costs some 1000 pesos or 20 dollars.Did you have your flu vaccine?

I personally chose not to get it, even though it's offered free of charge most places in the U.S. I would rather risk the flu, than possible side effects from the vaccine, since it does have a failure rate. As does anything you chose to put in your body.

That is good. I have had no vaccines ever, except one to go overseas when I was a child and I do not know what it was for.

Nope... I got the flu vaccine three years in a row and got the flu each of those years. Since I stopped getting the flu vaccine, I haven't had the flu.

@florelway Doctors all say that can't happen and don't like it that I tell people that story. My doctor kept telling me that I must have caught the flu before she gave me the vaccine. Strange that I ONLY caught the flu after getting the flu vaccine three years in a row and haven't had it since then.

That's very strange. I will ask our doctor why is that so.
