Boiling potatoes for dinner.

I have been eating leftovers for some time. Now I want to eat something fresh and different.
The rice and the picante de gallina are gone and I only have some lentils left. But I don´t want to eat lentils anymore. I will freeze them.
Tonight, for dinner, I´ll have another lettuce salad and 2 boiled potatoes with lots of butter. That will be more than enough.
Do you eat easy dinners now and then?

I usually try to eat a well balanced meal. But now I wanted something easy. And I had had a good meal for lunch.

@marguicha I think it's good if we eat healthy meals most of the time and occasionally have something we really like.

Some of my Dinners might not technically qualify as Dinners like some snacking or Bread/Butter or Bread/Jam with tea.
Or yes, leftover combinations are also something that I go for sometimes.

As I live alone, I eat many times leftovers. Sometimes I change the dish in some ways and the second time it is better than the first.

That sounds good. But since it is cold here I might boil some soon and add vegetables and maybe some meat to them for dinner

In winter I often prepare a casserole full of delicious food and I freeze them in 2 people´s portions.

It is not a well balanced meal but poiled potatoes with salt and plenty of butter are as good sometimes as corn kernels dressed the same way

excellent potatoes. In Calcutta we had gota seddo after Saraswati puja. We ate the gota means full potatoes together with brinjals black beuli lentil and peas
