I failed many students this time

Degusting image to correlate to my feelings

There are abusive students who think that online classes are relaxing. They are wrong because the school administration mandated to end the grading of Probationary grades. It's useless to grade that way because they never comply with the requirements for a numerical grade conversion. The deadline for submission of grades to the university PRISM was last night January 30, at 12 midnight. I submitted mine on January 29. I gave my students a due date of January 28 up to 12 midnight to submit what they missed to submit but they never bothered themselves. The next day I saw only 5 complied among my sections. So I gave my one-time decision to fail those hardheaded. That was the last chance to at least receive a grade of 3.0 (75). Then, I marked all grades POSTED in the university PRISM and they saw their grade in their account visibly colored red. Then yesterday, many submitted despite the knowledge that grades cannot be changed once marked posted. They messaged me anywhere but I muted them in our Messenger Group chat, muted them in Google Classroom, muted them in Gmal ad, and muted them in the societies I created. I am done with their toxic attitudes. Last week was supposed to be the start of our sem break but because of their kind, teachers do not experience a break but heartbreaks. Then the worst, is we cannot enjoy our sem break freedom for February 6 is the start of the second-semester classes. Thank you for reading, sharing is caring.

I can only imagine what you're going through my friend. One of my nephews is a freshman, and he always asks for my help, which is fine, but sometimes, OMG, he's like "tita, can you do my research paper?" and I'd say "ok, when do you need it?" and he'd say(with a big bright smile on his face) "tomorrow".

If you feel that they don't deserve to pass your topic, I believe it is only fair. Students and learners should be aware that learning should be taken seriously as this will be their future; if they perform well in school, they most likely will in the future. This is my opinion as we are nearing normalcy from this pandemic.

@cacay1 Oh no, that's not a good justification for disregarding their subjects. They paid for it, so they have to do what you say in order to benefit from your knowledge and fulfill your standards in order to succeed.

@rsa101 tuition free in the university. It's national University government owned. Free under the Duterte admin for 34, 000 students.

@rsa101 they're hard headed, they abuse my tolerance to them. They have good grades in midterm but most of them are working as virtual assistant on line so they're occupied with their online works than studies. They should have managed their time.

Teachers have a hard job. I have a friend who teaches, and she tells me the same thing. Her students aren't interested in learning and don't try to make good grades.
