What's packed for lunch tomorrow?

A little bit ago I packed she child's lunch for tomorrow. I was on the phone while I was packing it, and I thought she was asleep- so it scared the patootie out of me when I turned around and she was standing there all creepy like and asked me if I was making her lunch. Anyway I used her bento box thing I got her last week ( I think) off Amazon. She loves it because it has all her food in one thing and she doesn't have to open a bunch of bags or wrappers and stuff. So for lunch she got a ham and cheese sandwich with mayo on white bread, a small piece of leftover birthday cake, a green apple jello cup and graham crackers. For snack she got half a peanut butter and strawberry jelly sandwich and a applesauce pouch. I also gave her a dollar fifty. That will get her either a Kool Aid or she can save it for snacks either tomorrow or the next couple of days and she can get milk/chocolate milk to have with her lunch. I know, she's got a lot of sugar in her lunch. I also snuck a sucker in her lunch box as a surprise. I think she will be pretty happy with her lunch. When you packed lunch for your kids, what was their favorite thing you packed them?

My kids are all grown now, but when they were home, we homeschooled. I cooked lunch for them every day, unless, we were going on a field trip. If we were field tripping at the park, zoo, or something like that, I would pack a picnic basket of sandwiches, fruit, chips, raw veggies.

We have talked about home schooling a few times, but i think the kids need socilaization. Plus they are used to regular school at this point.

@thislittlepennyearns The socialization factor is one of the biggest arguments against homeschooling. That factor is one of the biggest factors in my husband and I choosing homeschooling. We saw the environment of public schools and did not want our kids socializing in that environment. Plus, we felt ours were better socialized outside of school walls. Instead of just locked away with their peers 8 hours a day, ours got to interact with all ages. They had confidence and were articulate with whomever they interacted. Plus they were in church, sports, the arts. They were able to learn from books, academics, and real life experiences. That is the beauty of America. Parents get to decide what is best for their kids whether it be homeschool, public school (my husband was a product), private school, or Christian schools (I was a product).

@gnatsmom I went to a private Christian school, and I did not like it.

They loved noodles and spaghetti, but it's not healthy for them to eat it everyday. I pushed them to eat salad and eggs

@thislittlepennyearns Trying to think back - I think Kraft took over making Vegemite at some stage but changed the taste slightly which didn't go down well with die-hard Vegemite lovers. I just looked on our jar and it just says 'Vegemite'. But in the small print on the label says Bega Cheese Limited. I checked and they bought out a previous company. But, (I hope this makes you laugh) the address for Bega Cheese is 1 Vegemite Way. That's pretty funny.
