Yesterday my Mum had a fall in the living room and couldn't get up. My step-dad went next door to ask Julie if she could help get Mum up off the floor. He had got the thing from round the upstairs loo, like a walker, that helps you get up off the loo for my Mum to hold into to try to get up but she couldn't. Julie tried to get her up but she couldn't. She told my Mum to try and get on her knees but my Mum said her knees hurt. Julie said she might have to endure the pain for a bit if it helps her get up. Julie still couldn't get her up and she didn't want to try too hard incase she hurt her back. She said she'd go and see if she could find a strong man. There were a couple of guys a few doors down doing some landscaping work so she got one of those. He tried to get my Mum up but he couldn't and he said it would probably need two of them so he went and got his colleague and both of them together they managed to get my Mum up and sitting on the settee. But because of this adventure my Mum said she was going to rest and I would have to go to the big Tesco on my own.
My step-dad gave my Mum a small list and Mum added hers to his list.
My step-dad gave me a lift to the big Tesco and I said to pick me up again at 4:00pm. When I was in the car I couldn't find my Mum and step-dad's shopping list! I thought I'd either left it at home or lost it! I just hoped I could remember everything that was on it!
First I put the recycle in the recycle receptacle as usual and went up on the lift. I went to look at the magazines but there was nothing that I wanted. I got my water and prawn layered salad then I got some pads for my Mum but I could only get one packet because it was the last one.
Then I got strawberries, lettuce and a cucumber for my Mum and blueberries, spring onions and a lemon for me.
I got my little peach yoghurts and 2 bottles of milk, then I went to the ready meal and vegan isle. I couldn't get any scrambled tofu so I got tempeh instead. I got my chick'n'less bites and some puddings for Saturday and Sunday. I also got 2 different types of vegan curry for Friday and Saturday. We're going to a memorial service on Saturday so Mum isn't doing the usual lunch. I couldn't get my usual spicy battered prawns.
Next I got some ground ginger and olive oil for me and some microwave rice. I got a can of oxtail soup and an original curry pot noodle for my step-dad then I got some small cakes, crisps and pringles. I got some Matcha and chamomile T-bags for me, then I got 2 boxes of Alpen cereal with no added sugar for me and my Mum.
Next I went to the frozen section and got some peas and sweetcorn, then a small bag of crinkle cut chips, f*a*g*g*o*t*s, fish fingers, duck legs and battered cod. I also got some cauliflower bites and a different sort of battered prawns for me.
Then I went and paid. It came to just under £90. I went and sat on a bench and looked at my watch. It was 3:20pm! I had 40 minutes to wait until my step-dad came to pick me up. I went and swapped my book at the Tesco book swap. I found a book of short stories by Colin Baker who played the 6th Doctor in Doctor Who. I went and sat back down and looked at it. When I opened the first page I saw it was signed! To someone called Steve! I was wondering why on earth Steve would want to get rid of a book that had been signed by Colin Baker! Well, that one's a keeper! I looked in my bag and found I'd put my Mum and step-dad's shopping list in the bit with the purses! I checked it and I had managed to remember everything that was on it!
I started going towards the lift at 3:50pm and took my time. It was about 3:55pm when I sat on the bench in the undercover car park. My step-dad arrived at about 3:58pm! He was a little bit early.
When I got home as I unpacked the groceries as usual and sat down to eat my dinner and have a rest while watching TV. There was no house group last night again because the people who host it have been having cavity wall insulation done and the place is still a mess apparently!
What are you all getting up to?
I hope you are all well.
Have a nice day.

I'm so sorry your mum had a fall. I'm glad they were able to get her up. I am waiting for a call back from the sewer company for an estimate on digging up the yard.

Thank you very much, that is very kind of you. It's a good job those workmen were around.
I hope the sewer company has got back to you now.

Thank you very much. Yes, it was. Mum was insisting she didn't want to go to hospital. It was a good job those workmen were around.
