As far as I know there are many kinds of personality. But I will only discuss a few here. There are people who have extrovert, ambivert, and introvert personality.
There are many striking differences. An extrovert personality tends to like crowds, likes to be the center of public attention, easy to get along with new people. And conversely, people with introverted personalities tend to like quiet places, like to work behind the scenes, and tend to be closed to new people. The ambivert personality is a combination of both.
Of the three personalities above, which one are you? As for myself, I am an introvert, I like to be alone, prefer to write than speak, and do not like being in public attention.
Each personality has its own advantages and disadvantages, a person will feel comfortable when he is in the right place, with a job that suits his personality.
How do you think it is important to recognize your own personality and others people's?

When I was in school, I was an introvert. I only talked with friends I'd made over long years and shied away from people I didn't know.
When I graduated high school, I decided I needed to be more outgoing and meet new people, so I started forcing myself to talk to strangers. I felt weird doing that but I kept talking with strangers anyway.
Now, I am an ambivert. I still don't like to talk to strangers when I'm in a place I don't know but will talk the legs off of people I either know well or have met in a familiar setting. You happened to be in a familiar setting and I became comfortable talking with you quickly.

Does daddy not think that I'm a severe introvert. Ahaha. I tend to get very nervous when it comes to talking and meeting new people. I once tried to be an ambivert but it felt so tiring, so going back to where it was comfortable being an introvert.

@astutimeliana723 I think you are an introvert, but not a severe one.
I deliberately took jobs that put me in contact with the public. I HAD to learn to be more outgoing. I've almost always had jobs where I was a customer service worker. If I didn't help the customers, I would have lost my job.
As long as I know what I'm talking about or I'm talking to someone I know well, nobody would every guess that I was ever introverted.
When I was growing up, my favorite things to do were read books, ride our horses or ride my bicycle. I didn't like being around other people. I still read a lot. (My Kindle app on my phone shows that I read, on average, 200 books in a year.)

@DaddyEvil Wow great 200 books in a year. What about me? Ahaha, I tend to repeat the same number of books, so it's impossible to get to 200 in a year.
Why do I tend to repeat the same book? Well, I'm a little weak in my memorization. I find it difficult to remember things in detail, it's easier to remember in outline. Even if there were strangers who met me about 30 minutes ago, when I met that person again later, at the same time, only on 30-minute gap, I had forgotten. Ahaha.

I would guesstimate myself as being many personalities according to my environment.

Well that's great. Indeed, ambiverts are easier to adjust in every situation

@astutimeliana723 i might talk to new people but not relatives. I don't like my relatives, even when they visit to my house i don't want to wish them.

You know, when I want to go somewhere new, or meet new people, I'm already thinking about it. What will you do there? What are you going to do? What are you going to say? It's tiring.

I would have to say ambivert, as I know that is what I am. I do enjoy alone time, I like to read, write, and have time to myself. However, I have a lot of friends and have never really had a problem with not conversing, I do like to meet new people. But give me a good book and a good coffee, and I am happy, too.

I think, as with many things, we have certain basic tendencies. However, those tendencies can be modified by practice.
By nature, I'm introverted - but I have, through necessity, learned to cope.
I find dealing with people exhausting - draining - which is a big symptom of introversion. Extroverts are energized.

An introvert if you have to deal with many people is tiring. What we can do is prevent it from becoming anti-social.
