Today is known as `National Yorkshire pudding day'. Yorkshire puddings are traditionally served with roast beef and roast potatoes as a Sunday dinner. When I was growing up, Sunday dinners were a big thing where the whole family would sit down together and eat a big dinner at lunch time. Nowadays this tradition is not so popular for many reasons.

@JudyEv They are not everybody`s favourite and they can be tricky to make at home because you need a very hot oven.

Huh... Yorkshire pudding is just a type of pastry? Is that right?
As a kid we ate the large Sunday meal with everyone around the table. Now, almost nobody does that, as far as I know.

Yorkshire pudding is mad with eggs , flour and milk. These ingredients are mixed into a batter and then baked in the oven. Some people make them as small individual servings and others make a big one and cut it into portions. It is the same batter that is used to make Toad in the Hole which is made with sausages and batter.

That is nice to know that your family eat together every day, lots of people don`t these days.
