Sometimes you find interesting places you don't find everywhere else, and when you are on a trip it helps to make things a bit more fun. Take a place we landed called The Shed. It wasn't particularly unique. Just basically a consignment store where people rent booths and stock various items in them. Some nostalgic things, some antique things, just junk in others. I have been to ones similar to this many times before. But they are always fun to walk through. Sort of like a giant flea market or garage sale without the heckling people wanting to sell you their stuff. And of course, you always run into that guy. I got scolded by the wife for calling him a dork—not to his face of course. It was just an observation. He kept telling his girl all about all the things, and doing it in a way that was just "dorky." I am not sure if she looked interested or perhaps was thinking the same thing I was. "What a dork." But they both had rings on, so maybe they were just together dorks. lol We enjoyed the time but didn't find much to take home from there. I found a couple of interesting "Liberty" beer can coozies and they were only 75 cents each, so I got two. Needed some new ones anyway. It was fun at The Shed. My plate at The Freight House. I had the braised pork shoulder with black eyed peas which I normally don't like, but these were good, and sweet greens. I have no idea what the greens were, but they were delicious whatever they were.

I always enjoy browsing antique stores and places of that nature. Yes, most of it is junk for sale, but occasionally you find a hidden gem, or something that may remind you of your childhood or tickle your fancy or something

@porwest I’m not a junk collector by any means, but I do like to browse and admire other people’s junk. Lol

@moffittjc Yes. Admiring one's junk can be a lot of fun. Some people have very impressive junk as well. I can be jealous sometimes of someone else's junk.

I like junk, which is probably why I like flea markets and places like this and the occasional garage sale. I usually don't BUY a lot of the junk. I have enough of my own already. But it IS interesting.

I could have done without the corn bread. lol. I am not a fan of it and neither is the wife. But everything else was spot on delicious.

We had a great time. Hopefully the next time we are in the Paducah area we will have the camper along. Spring and summer are right around the corner.

Those sorts of flea markets are great fun. You never know what you're going to find.

That IS the fun of it. You see stuff you won't always find anywhere else, and it is MUCH more fun to shop around.
