My valentines Day 2023

I took the baby to Story hour at 10:30. She was a little bit timid. She did a little craft using bingo stampers that I hung on my fridge.
Once the boys were home from school, my husband and daughter were home from work they all got their gifts. I just got our kids candy and I got my husband candy and a vintage Avon pheasant shaped bottle. My husband got me a bottle of wine and a big box of chocolates.
My sister came by and gave my older kids candy bars and the baby a panda with a book. The baby was nervous and hid behind the gate. She thought because her eyes were covered and she couldn’t see my sister that my sister couldn’t see her. The cat came over and gave away her location and the baby was telling her “get”.
My oldest daughter was very sweet and got me lipgloss, a panda magnet and candle and she got the baby a plush elephant, a little box of chocolates, and two books.
I made a ham for dinner but it just didn’t seem to want to warm up in the middle after an hour and a half so my husband cut it into four smaller pieces and moved it to a higher rack in the oven. He got me a foot long veggie patty at subway. It was delicious!

@Juliaacv I recall saying you wanted to make them and would share a photo. I hope you got one before you ate them. I’m going to go check out your recent posts to see if there’s a photo

Wow, you go all out for Valentine's day. The gal that cut my hair today was saying her new boyfriend, who texts her every day, ignored the day completely because his previous girlfriend didn't celebrate it. So I gave her a heart-shaped chocolate.

@BarbaraPrz My husband doesn’t exchange Valentine’s Day gifts with his sisters kids. I felt bad last minute realizing I had forgot to ask him if I could buy them candy too. Next year I’ll hopefully remember to ask him ahead of time. As it was I only got all the things I did buy on the day before Valentine’s Day (except for the babies which I got on sale a few weeks ago). That was very late shopping for me this year.

@Tina30219 my daughter was so sweet to buy the baby and I so many things. The chocolates my husband bought me were so good too. I ate quite a few yesterday and today and still have a ton left

@RebeccasFarm thank you! My husband made me feel like a horrible stepparent today. I’m sick to my stomach. If anything he is the bad step parent.

@shaggin I am so sorry you are sick..I get it, I understand, I get that too sometimes from people saying stuff to me. I wish your husband was nicer to you, respectful and grateful.

@popciclecold yes we did. My parents even left us a bag of Reeces cups and some McDonald’s coupons for free items on our doorstep. I used two of the coupons today for my kids. One was for a free hamburger and the other for a free apple juice.

@LeaPea2417 thank you! Some holidays are awful around here so I was thankful to have a nice one. Today is my sister in laws birthday and we are going to my in laws for cake later. I’ve been sick with stress since Wednesday so I’m hoping to feel well enough by 6 when we have to be there.

@1creekgirl it was a nice day I was glad to have all my family here to spend the day with. My daughter and her boyfriend celebrated the day before so she was here on Valentine’s Day.

@Nakitakona yes and while we were there they were taking down the Valentine’s Day decorations and putting up St. Patrick’s day ones. It looked so cute.
