Mirabilis - 4 o'clock flowers are a beauty if one can have them in their gardens. They come in an array of colour and get muted on their own in that each flower sometimes has more than one shade to start with. They propagate fast through seeds and do not leave a garden in a hurry They are known as 4 o clock as they normally bloom around that time spreading a mild aroma - lasting till the morning and then fade away But sadly they did leave my garden and I am now trying to get them back . I have just one way and that is to order for seeds online. Not sure I will be successful as seeds ordered online fail miserably Do you have them in your garden? Image credit: Amazon in

Oh yes I have every plant in my garden NOT lol But you call these 4 o clocks. My Mother used to call those wispy things that float those dandelions..she used to call those 4 o clocks.

Yes, I have plenty of them, those are flowers that I love. The seeds come from the garden of my grandmother, I want to keep them alive.

@allknowing They produce so many seeds every years, they are invading a large part of the garden, but I am fine with them. As you can see from this photo they have "invaded" the area on the side of the stairs leading to the vegetable garden. The photo has been taken the past summer.

@allknowing Sometimes the winds can blow the seeds to far. Mom would even check the yard for them because of that. Especially if she wasn't seeing them in the flower garden

No, we don't have them. They're so pretty. Who knows may be you'd be lucky enough to grow them again. I hope the seeds you'll buy would be good ones and grow.

These are a little bit different to what I used to know as four o'clocks. They are very pretty.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but this looks like orchid family.

They do not belong to the orchid family They are ordinary plants that grow on the ground and multiply by seeds
