It has been more than a year since my lovely mother traveled to heaven. By this time, she must be with my old man, roaming around the world. I must say that I do not have to talk to anyone about certain matters in life. My mom was my best friend and confidant while she was still here. Now, I cannot find someone to replace her. I wanted to have someone who could understand my ups and downs in life. Have you find your confidant in life now? Image Credit: imgprd19.hobbylobby.com

I think since the breakup at 2021, I think I find a bit confidant to move on now. I know it's long, but different people has ways and times of grieving and moving on too.

I can feel you. I also broke up with my ex- four months ago. I was able to move on fast because it is a long distance relationship. She cannot keep her promise to continue the relationship. Thus, it is better to cut the tie than making it longer.

@Shavkat I guess long distance relationship already makes the heart grows distant too. For me, the ex saying I love you today - then the next month suddenly announcing his marriage to another woman. That type of situation.... I don't think anyone can move on fast, especially when their heart has broken too much from the trust. It's like, almost a lifetime to build a trust on someone again; probably never too in some cases.

I really do understand. My mom was my confidant in life, too. She and I would go for long drives and talk about anything that was bothering either one of us... That's something that's hard to replace. I do talk with Pretty about a lot of things but she's my daughter and I'm just not comfortable bringing up some subjects with her. I wish you luck, Shavkat. I do hope you find someone you can share everything with.

It is a good thing that you can relate with me. It is also the same thing with my siblings. I cannot tell everything to them. I think I am fine. Being here is a great help for me to vent out. In fact, I am more vocal here than in the real world.

Since she left us, my life is not complete without talking to her daily. At some point, myLot is keeping me busy and can share some of my thoughts here. It helps me in some way.

I think it is a good idea. It has been a long time that I did not do this. At some point, it makes me feel fine being here, too.

I'm sure you must miss your mother a lot. My husband is the one I turn to, to talk things over with.

I miss her every day. I am glad that you can do it with your husband. If I have my soulmate, I would do the same thing. But I have not found that person yet.

I can understand how it feels. Now, I lost both of my biological parents. At some point, I felt an orphan that no one can guide me. Their siblings are not reliable when it comes to being genuine concern with us.

We discussed this the other day how hard it is when this happens. I do hope you find someone. I used to write in a diary when I couldn’t talk about some things. My mother talks to a therapist.

I can speak with others casually, but not the secrets. I do have a few friends but they are not here anymore. They are all living abroad and left me in my country.

Dont worry. I do have some people to talk about superficial concerns. Deeper thoughts will take time to find. I am okay for being vocal virtually here.
