We all have our favorite actors or actresses. They give such great performance on stage that it is hard to accept that they can no longer perform even though they are still very young. My focus today is Bruce Willis . He has done many movies . He is well known for his action pack movies Die Hard where he performs a number of dangerous and super human stunts. Bruce Willis was recently diagnose with dementia . He still looks young. He is just 67 years. He wont be able to do anymore acting. Do you think the dangerous stunts contributed to him getting dementia?

My best friend has dementia. She's never done a dangerous stunt in her life. The specialist who'll discover the reason why some people get dementia and others don't will hopefully get the Nobel Prize for medicine.

NO, the dangerous stunts surely did not contribute to him getting dementia. This is a condition that causes to several aged people not to remember things and the causes are still unknown.

@MALUSE This is called "senile dementia" and I know even too well what it is, as my husband is getting more and more forgetful.

It's not only that people with dementia don't remember things. They can also forget who people are, even their own close friends, relatives or spouses

@LadyDuck I think the time when dementia is starting is the most horrible because the person in question notices the decline. When the final state is reached, the person with dementia doesn't suffer any more - at least this is my understanding.

It is very sad about Bruce Willis. No, I don't think it had to do with stunts he had done. I think it may be genetic.

You have a good point there. No one really knows what cause dementia. It might just be hereditary.
