James Earl Carter was born in 1924 in Georgia in the United States and is currently 98 years olds. He is the oldest lived former president of the United States in the country’s history. He surpassed the older George Bush in age when the former passed in 2018, both having been born in 1924. Jimmy Carter served only 1 term, but he had much more philanthropic work after he left office. While in office as president, he signed an act ending government regulation of airlines, which people today may not appreciate. He also legalized selling hops to private beer makers, which had not been legal since Prohibition. People liked that a lot. He was very active in Habitat for Humanity.

I have read in the news this morning, I do not believe he will live for many more months.

It does not sound like he will, although he has had precarious health before that he bounced back from.

@Aquitaine24 When they place people in home hospice care it's because there is nothing more the doctors can do.

@Aquitaine24 This is what I asked for myself here. No medical intervention once I am too old.

Jimmy Carter is indeed a very honorable person who has done a lot for people he has served in and out of the presidency.
