The authorities in New York City Department of Parks and Recreation received an emergency call on Sunday by a member of Prosect Park that an alligator was seen in a lake in Brooklyn which is dangerous since alligators parks are not the place for the animal to taking a swim due to health reasons. The officials of the NYC Department of Parks and Recreation were able to remove the alligator from harm's way and take the alligator to Animal Care And Control officials so they could take care of the animal for the time being. The alligator was taken to the Bronx Zoo to be rehabilitated. The authorities are trying to find who is the person or persons responsible for leaving the alligator at the park since alligators are used to warm water and persons in the park as well as animals in the lake would have eaten by the alligator. The best hope is that the alligator who was sick being in the cold water for a period of time which could have been fatal had the animal officers not come to the rescue of the alligator. I'm glad the poor cold alligator is being cared for and hope he finds a good home in warm water.

That is sad that someone did leave that alligator there and definitely would either not survive or may harm others for its survival. I hope it could adapt to his new place.

The Bronx Zoo has the proper place for the alligator to call home now.

I am in agreement with you since I am not a fan of alligators, I hate to see them get hurt by humans.

It seems a strange thing for someone to put the alligator in the Lake.

That is what I am thinking why would anyone take an alligator to a cold area in the first place.
