Tuesday Afternoon Moodies

No musings for Tuesday afternoon. Are you kidding? That’s such a great Moody Blues song! 
I spent today on the other side of the river, in Clarksville, Indiana. I had lunch at Chuy’s (we have two in the area, one on my side of the river and one on the other side of the river), then went for a walk in a shopping center.
As you can see by the pictures, I went to “nature.” 
The same scene, just zoomed out. That’s from our Bass Pro Shop. It has a “creek” in the middle of the first floor, complete with fish and turtles and stuffed wildlife. I didn’t find anything that I was looking for, but I got a mile of walking in between all the stores.
In addition to all of the doctors appointments I got an appointment for the car doctor. It’s time for an oil change, tire rotation, and the 60,000 mile check-up. It’s a great car, but even the best car will break down if you don’t provide the simple maintenance for it.
Got all those calls made today, including an eye exam. That’ll be in May at one of the VA clinics. No problems, so it’s a routine check-up. My brother just had some early-onset cataracts discovered, so that’s one thing to have checked. Glaucoma is also common in my family so I want my pressure checked.

Yes, you did. My brother saw them a lot, too. They’re his favorite band.
I’m sure that deer was the real deal once upon a time before he got stuffed.
It’s funny that none of the other Bass Pro Shops I’ve been in have the nice nature stream. The one in Memphis is really decked out, but heck, it’s in a building that used to be a basketball/concert arena!!!

I jokingly refer to it as “a poor man’s Smokies trip.” They used to have a great area on the second floor but they closed it during covid and haven’t reopened it…guess they won’t.

It does, and the turtles (I counted three of them) and fish enjoying the “creek” make it more realistic. Yes, the fish and turtles are real.

Hmm, I see you took an adventure to a "New Horizon" (a great tune btw). Sounds like an enjoyable time.

I prefer the living deer I saw at the state park in Florida, including the piebald deer.
And I need a new wardrobe now that I’m at the 40-pound mark on my weight loss journey.

Always love me some Moody Blues...
I wonder if the Bass Pro Shop here has a stream, too. Maybe I'll suggest we check it out the next time Juanita wants to go to the outlet mall... the only thing that interests me there is the Lindt store.

Most of the stores have a huge water tank loaded with fish. I’ve only seen one other in-store water scene, and that was the megastore in Memphis. I hope you do have one. It’s a nice respite from cold weather for me.
