Yesterday's trip to the big Tesco.

We went to the big Tesco again yesterday. After putting the soft plastics in the recycle receptacle I went to fetch a trolley and then we went up on the lift. First I got a copy of Leisure Painter magazine, then I got my water, and I did manage to get a prawn layered salad aswell this week. I then went and got some pads for my Mum and then we went to the fruit and veg section. I got some strawberries, my blueberries and spring onions as usual, but I also needed to get celery and carrots as I'd used them all up. My step-dad wanted one head of garlic. I didn't need to get any lemons as Mum had brought a net full of lemons for pancake day which never got used because she found a bottle of lemon juice but just didn't go and put the lemons back when she got them last Friday from the little Tesco!! We got all the usual stuff. I managed to get some of my chilli prawns this week, but I couldn't get any puddings for the weekend. We got my step-dad some spring vegetable soup and a chow mein pot noodle. I got some of my little vegan cakes. I was looking for something different to have for soup and I saw some frozen parsnips but then I saw they were seasoned so I didn't know if they'd be suitable so I didn't bother. I got some frozen onion and butternut squash. Mum got some frozen meals like fish fingers and stuff and I got my cauliflower bites. Then I got 2 lots of toilet paper, some kitchen roll and a packet of tissues, and then we went to pay. Mum said she wasn't feeling very good when we were going round the shop, but she managed to come all the way round with me, and we were early! It was only five to four when we got to the till! There was someone sitting on the nearest bench so my Mum stayed with me while I was packing the groceries away. Then she paid and we went and found a bench further down to sit on. I went and changed my book at the Tesco book swap, and went back and sat on the bench for a bit and drank some of my water. Mum fell asleep! I woke her up when it was time to go and we went down on the lift. I helped put the groceries in the boot of the car, and we went home. When we got home Mum was tired so I told her to sit down and I made her a cup of tea before putting the groceries away. Then I sat down and had a rest while eating my dinner and watching TV. Later I put the recycle out ready for the recycle bin man today. I also folded up the bags that we brought the groceries home in, but left one out to use for the plastic recycle. Mum went to the house group again last night. Stuart from the home group came to pick her up because Francis was still at Church washing up after the Alpha course so she'd be coming to the house group later when she'd finished. I locked the door behind them when they'd gone. What have you lot all been up to? Anything exciting? I hope you are all well. Have a nice day.

You are so nice to offer the tea to your Mom when she comes back home, I am sure that she appreciates. Nothing exciting here for today.

You are so caring about your mother. It was so thoughtful of you to offer her a cup of tea when she came back . I am sure that she would have appreciated it so much. You did a lot of shopping today. Mine was a usual Thursday.. Once back from work, I had lunch, washed two loads and put them to dry. I also finished cooking dinner for later and did some online work. I am relaxing here after my power nap.

Thank you very much. Yes, I enjoyed making a cup of tea for my Mum. She drank some of it but then fell asleep and let the rest go cold, so I had to go and warm it back up again in the microwave! Yes, I did do a lot of shopping yesterday! I enjoy going shopping. Did you enjoy your day? Have another nice day today too.

I wish I had a Tesco to visit; it sounds intriguing. The only thing I did today was renew my apartment lease while wondering why I was renewing my apartment lease. There just isn’t anything better available in my price range, I guess.

@sharonelton I’d like one on the main level so I wouldn’t have to walk up the stairs with my bad back. And I’d like one that doesn’t have bedroom carpet so nasty I question what I know about the universe.

@AmbiePam I see. If I didn't have carpet in my bedroom I'd scream! I can't live without carpet! Deep pile is my favourite!

@TheHorse That's good. If yourTesco's Safeway, it's not Tesco is it? You mean your large supermarket is Safeway!

The big Tesco is a large supermarket where we get most of our groceries from. I hope your guitar lesson goes well. Are there any promising students? Do you teach beginners or more advanced?

You had quite a shopping trip. It was nice of you to make your Mum some tea. I went to the DMV (Department of Motor Vehicles) to get my driving license renewed yesterday. I got the new license which allows me to fly domestically and go into Federal buildings. Nothing else going on. You have a nice day too!

I did not know that Tesco had a book swap. Our local Co-op has a table where you can donate and buy books and the money goes to charity. This book table is usually very full with all sorts of books. Sounds like you had a busy day.

Your poor Mum must have been really tired to go to sleep in the shopping centre.

Oh, yes, she was. She wasn't feeling too good but she managed to come all the way round with me. I was expecting her to go and find a bench before we'd finished. So she did well. She deserved a bit of a nap!
