an eventful day as planned / myLot

I just came from the ER. I previously posted about cleaning and painting and such. So I started with the cabinet. I was able to remove most of the hardware with a screwdriver except one screw. So I grab a kitchen knife and few minutes later we're at the ER. lol Six stitches. And it's starting to throb. So much for being productive and all. Im in paaaaaain.

I'm sorry the knife slipped and hope the stitches come out soon... Good luck with that. Did the doctor give you good meds for the pain?

The stitches have been removed and I'm pretty sure I severed a nerve cause it's still painful. The doctor prescribed several medications for a week but I may have to continue taking the pain relievers.

@MGjhaud If you severed a nerve, then you probably wouldn't have feeling in some of all of the fingers and hand past the cut. I'm not a doctor but I have had surgery on my left hand/wrist. While the cuts were healing, the feeling came back to my hand slowly and yes, it hurt to use my hand for a month after the cuts were healed.

My entire index finger is numb and still slightly swollen. It's actually more painful now than it was last week. It'll probably take about a month to fully heal. Hopefully.

It's bad.

I get this burning sensation that comes and goes and I still can't use it to carry anything heavy but it's healing.

I'm feeling better now though I still have intermittent pain, like pins and needles but it's manageable.

This was a terrible idea yes haha. I had to put work on hold for days.

It's almost healed but still a bit sensitive to touch.

Oh my that's so painful but it would subside after taking pain reliever. Trust your doctor. Be careful next time not to cut your finger.

I was given a mild pain reliever but it's okay, it's helping at least. It took about 10mins for them to stitch me up and 1 hour to process my bill. OMG
