Wonderful Zultanite Stone / myLot

I like shiny things but I am not really one to spend on them. I just enjoy watching them. But Zultanite stones does bemuse me. This Turkish stone changes colour depending on the light. So during our visit to Turkey, I looked at Andrea with my puppy dog eyes to get this lovely drop earrings. It is usually pinkish but today it turned green under the light and I can't help but be hypnotised. It is reasonably priced too.

Truly. It is the perfect souvenir. I have always wanted a drop earring. The stone was an icing on top.

I've not heard of that before although I do love crystals and minerals of all sorts. It's amazing that it appears to change colour!

Yeah it was apparently known to be a favourite gift of the Sultan to his wives due to its attractive colour changing ability.

They are pretty cool really. There are also things as mood stones which changes colour depending on temperature but I haven't seen them in person yet.

Hmmm I am quite curious as well. I am doing some reading but it is quite vague. It has something to do with how it reflects the light. The explanations are quite technical.
