During my tenure as a landscaped garden designer I had the opportunity to spend time with these workers who did the garden paths and other consutrction work that was required in my projects. They would order for this tea and I enjoyed having it with them. It is called cutting chai as it is served in a glass half full. That is the only time I have had this tea and now where I live it is not available Image credit:

I never heard of this beverage, I am sure it's healthy, not something palatable for the locals.

@LadyDuck There are many States here in India that produce tea They have tea plantations . I have visited one. Darjeeling is one of the States that produce the best tea.

@allknowing Tea is not the most popular beverage here in the south of Switzerland, it's the same as in Italy, people drink coffee.

@allknowing I suppose that British imported the habit to drink tea from India. The other European countries are not as much tea oriented as the British.

How long did you work as a landscape garden designer? I have never heard of this drink but it looks like it could be tasty. Do you think you will start making it from scratch since you can’t buy it there?

@JudyEv Sorry I just said it is not available and yes I am not missing it. That tea would only taste good in that particular environment. I do not do those projects any more.
