The Crazy Things We Do as Youths

An old friend of mine(BM) and I used to do the kookiest things together. We were in junior high together. One weekend we had made dates with these two guys. They were to pick us up Saturday evening. During the day we talked about the two guys. The more we discussed them the more we realized that we didn't really want to date them. What were we going to do? We conjured up this plan to just act zany and silly and maybe lose their interest. That was the plan. So when the guys came my friend still had rollers in her hair, and I went for the big centennial stogey(cigar) up on the refrigerator. We played music we really didn't care for and I was just my weird, silly self. Nothing we could do made them seem any less enthused and talkative. We ended up not going anywhere but ya know what? My friend ended up marrying her date and I remained good friends with the other for several years. Life sure is funny sometimes.
