Today's adventure went well.

This afternoon we took Chilly out with us, and the adventure went well. He was not a fan of being put in his pup tent, but this is only our second non-vet outing. So, it will take some time. We're hoping that he adjusts and getting him in the carrier isn't a struggle. He seemed to enjoy the fish, and he made a friend, too. We then brought him home, and went to do some shopping. Which turned out to be a success. George is getting more and more comfortable with the self-check-out, so that's fun. I enjoy hearing it say when we get rewarded with discounts. All in all it was a good day.

Yeah. we're hoping so at least. We used to do well, but then he lost his best friend and then.... life happened so we're trying to make the experience more enjoyable.

Then you would've loved Precious. He loved to travel.

Did you have a leash on Chilli. Some do it but here where we live cats roam around.

Yes, when he goes out, even though he stays in his carrier, we put his leash on.

So you found a way to take Chilly out and about? I want to try to do that with Tuffy, he hates being alone so when I leave Roscoe at his daycare for some play time and I want to visit Carol and Hank I'd like to be able to take Tuffy with me. Can you show me a photo of it?

I ordered it on Chewy.com here's the link to the search result and, this is similar to the one we bought for Chilly bug. He's a pretty big cat. His looks like a cat face, complete with ears in place of the circle pictured in this photo. https://www.chewy.com/frisco-collapsible-cat-carrier-bag/dp/333314

@rebelann Then look for something on the medium to large side. It needs to be big enough that he can comfortably stand and turn around in. While cats do feel safe in carriers, as a general rule, they don't like being squished. When you do buy something, layer it with a favorite blanket or towel, and leave it in a favorite place wide open. Encourage him to see it as a hang out space, before you close him up in it. Then close him up in it for short amounts of time. Then walk around with him in it. Then put it in the car. You get the idea. ease him into traveling by allowing him to get used to being in it and the idea of motion. This will make travel really easy, and you can start taking him to pet=friendly places.
