Himalayan Pink Salt

Walnuts are one of my favorite snacks and I love salt. So, when in the grocery store tonight, I found walnuts seasoned with Himalayan pink salt. I have never had that kind of salt. So, of course, I had to try these walnuts. They were really good. Curiosity made me research the difference in white table salt and Himalayan pink salt There is quite a bit of difference. The pink salt has many health properties. I want to buy it instead of white salt, but the price difference is evident. The pink salt is more expensive. Has anyone used it long term or long enough to notice the health benefits? Before I regularly spend the extra money, I want to know that it is worth it.

I have used it a few times. But as you said, its really quite expensive so I simply can't make it as my regular salt or use it often.

I use only white iodised salt. I think this pink colour salt is the original one without iodine in it.

I don't use pink salt and the reason is actually because of tree nuts. Pink salt typical is around where treenuts are cross contaminated with the treenuts. This is something my family had to look into when my oldest was allergic to walnuts and we still enforce a strong no pink salt in our house because my 8-year-old is allergic to all nuts.

Personally, I think it is all a big take. But that's just me. I'm a bit cynical sometimes about the so-called health benefits of some of these products.

I cook with a bit of salt, l try not to use much. So if l bought this expensive salt it would last me a very long time.

I use white bath salt when taking a bath, along with eucalyptus or lavender bath beads.
