This candle was gifted to me by a friend who was also my classmate when she returned from a short stay in the US Her two daughters are settled there. I lit it occasionally specially when we were expecting guests. And that is the time I also cut fresh flowers from the garden and make a flower arrangements. Nice to have guests that gives the housewife an opportunity to clean up the house, cook someting special and also as I said light the scented candle spreading a pleasant aroma round the house Do you entertain guests?

And I do not ..not because I don't like them, but because one time a candle caused a fire in a place.

@allknowing It happened to my son..he lost everything..yes accidents happen. The fire killed his pet cat.

I used to, no more after Covid started. As soon as my husband has finished with the hospital tests I can consider inviting people again.

I do enjoy hosting guests and parties but it doesn’t happen much anymore. Mostly in the summer. I love the flower holder and the roses.
